Lukas Anschuetz, MD is a member of staff at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Inselspital, University Hospital Bern, Switzerland. During his residency he spend 2016/2017 one year in Modena, Italy as a research fellow in the Department of Prof. Livio Presutti, where he got passioned for the endoscopic approach to middle ear and lateral skull base surgery. Consecutively, he introduced endoscopic ear surgery in Bern, where it is now routinely used to treat chronic otitis media, hearing loss and cholesteatoma. He organizes the Swiss Endoscopic Ear Surgery Course (SEES) this year already for the 6th time and has been faculty member in multiple temporal bone surgery courses internationally. He is a member of IWGEES.

His research interests are endoscopic middle ear anatomy, technical developments for the improvement of the surgical technique and the refinement of under- and postgraduate teaching methodologies. He is co-head of the temporal bone laboratory at ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering at the University of Bern.
