Goutam Pramanik, PhD is working as Scientist-D at UGC DAE, Consortium For Scientific Research, India. Dr. Pramanik had received his master degree in chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2008. After his master degree, he had worked briefly in pharma industry (Dr. Reddy’s, Hyderabad, India). Then he moved to Germany and completed his PhD in chemistry in 2013 from University of Ulm. After his PhD, he had worked in a start-up biotechnology company (GCC Biotech Pvt. Ltd.) at Kolkata, India. In 2015 he joined Synthetic Nanochemistry group headed by Dr. Petr Cigler at Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the CAS at Prague, Czech Republic as post-doctoral fellow. Dr. Pramanik joined the UGC DAE, Consortium For Scientific Research, Kolkata Centre, India in 2019 where his research is focused on the synthesis of nano-materials including the color centers in diamond and investigation of their magneto-optical properties.
