Zev Kurtzman is an undergraduate researcher at Arizona State University. He is double majoring in Medicinal Chemistry and in Biological Sciences with a focus on neurobiology, physiology and behavior. Zev worked in the Brian Smith Lab under Dr. Irina Sinakevitch where he learned techniques in immunohistochemistry and immunostaining to localize G-Protein Coupled Receptors. In the project led by Dr. Sinakevitch, Zev used these techniques in testing the efficacy of Anti-mGlutR1 antibodies, which targets a metabotropic Glutamate Receptor in the brains of Honey Bees.
