<p class="jove_content"> Wij hebben ongeveer 1200 gevallen van nier-transplantatie in muizen met een technisch succespercentage van&gt; 90%. In vergelijking met harttransplantatie, het succes van niertransplantatie is meestal laag. Toch heeft ons laboratorium vastgehouden aan een hoog slagingspercentage (&gt; 90%) van de niertransplantatie. <p class="jove_content"> Nier orthotope transplantatie in muizen is een technisch uitdagend procedure. Hoewel de eerste niertransplantaties bij muizen werden uitgevoerd door Russell et al. meer dan 30 jaar geleden (1) en verfijnd door Zhang et al. jaar later (2), hebben weinig mensen in de wereld onder de knie deze procedure. In ons laboratorium hebben we met succes uitgevoerd 1200 orthotope niertransplantaties met&gt; 90% overlevingskans. De belangrijkste punten voor succes zijn onder strikte controle van de reperfusie schade, bloeden en trombose, zowel tijdens de procedure en na transplantatie, en het gebruik van 10-0 in plaats van 11-0 hechtdraad voor anastomosen. </p><p class="jove_content"> Post-operatieve zorg en de behandeling van de ontvanger is uiterst belangrijk voor transplantatie succes en evaluatie. Alle niertransplantaat ontvangers krijgen antibiotica in de vorm van een injectie van penicilline onmiddellijk na de transplantatie en sulfatrim in het drinkwater voortdurend. De algemene gezondheid van dieren wordt geëvalueerd dagelijks en volbloed creatinine-analyses worden routinematig uitgevoerd met een draagbare I-STAT machine transplantaatfunctie te beoordelen. </p>
