Il punteggio manuale del segnale VFP nucleare nella linea germinale per ogni generazione ha mostrato che il silenziamento del transgene era completamente penetrante nei vermi P0 e F1 trattati con GFP RNAi.
Nella generazione F2, la percentuale della popolazione che mostrava l'ereditarietà del silenziamento GFP era di circa il 50%Nella generazione F5, la maggior parte della popolazione non mostrava l'ereditarietà del silenziamento. Con la generazione F10, tutti i worm esprimevano GFP e non è stata rilevata alcuna ereditarietà.
