Auto-immuun hypophysitis is een chronische ontsteking van de hypofyse veroorzaakt of vergezeld door auto-immuniteit 1. Het is van oudsher beschouwd als een zeldzame ziekte, maar de verslaglegging is sterk toegenomen in de afgelopen jaren. Hypophysitis, in feite, ontwikkelt zich niet zelden als een &quot;side-effect&quot; bij patiënten met kanker die behandeld worden met antilichamen die remmende receptoren tot expressie gebracht op T-lymfocyten, zoals CTLA-4 2 en PD-1-receptoren te blokkeren. Auto-immune hypophysitis kan experimenteel worden veroorzaakt door het injecteren van muizen met hypofyse eiwitten gemengd met een adjuvans 3. In deze video artikel zullen we laten zien hoe eiwitten uit de muis hypofyse en hoe u hen voor te bereiden in een vorm die geschikt is voor het induceren van auto-immune hypophysitis in SJL muizen extract.
