Därvid utför de också en rad kognitiva uppgifter, inklusive en Posner uppmärksamhet skiftande paradigm (Posner, 1980), en go / no-go test av motorisk hämning, en psykofysisk rörelse samstämmighet tröskeln uppgift, Embedded Siffror Test (Witkin , 1950, 1954) och en teori-of-mind (Wimmer &amp; Perner, 1983) uppgift. Spelet programvara registrerar automatiskt spelet stimuli och ämnen agerande och reaktioner i en loggfil och skickar händelsen koder för att synkronisera med fysiologiska data brännare. Således spelet kan kombineras med fysiologisk åtgärder som EEG eller fMRI, och med ögonblick till ögonblick spårning av blick. Blicka spårning kan verifiera ämnen efterlevnad beteendeterapi uppgifter (t.ex. fixering) och overt uppmärksamhet experimentella stimuli, och även fysiologisk upphetsning som återspeglas i elev dilatation (Bradley et al., 2008). Vid tillräckligt stor samplingsfrekvenser kan blick spårning hjälpa också bedöma hemlig uppmärksamhet som återspeglas i microsaccades - ögonrörelser som är för små för att foveate ett nytt objekt, men är lika snabb i debuten och har samma förhållande mellan vinkelavståndet och maximal hastighet som gör saccades att passera större avstånd. Fördelningen av riktningarna microsaccades korrelerar med (annars) hemliga riktning uppmärksamhet (Hafed &amp; Clark, 2002).
