Neurogenesi nel cervello postnatale dipende dal mantenimento di tre eventi biologici: la proliferazione delle cellule progenitrici, la migrazione dei neuroblasti, nonché la differenziazione e l&#39;integrazione di nuovi neuroni in circuiti neurali già esistenti. Per neurogenesi postnatale nei bulbi olfattivi, questi eventi sono segregati all&#39;interno di tre ambiti anatomicamente distinte: la proliferazione avviene in larga misura nella zona subependimali (SEZ) dei ventricoli laterali, migrando neuroblasti attraversare attraverso il flusso migratorio rostrale (RMS), e nuovi neuroni differenziare e integrare all&#39;interno del bulbo olfattivo (OB). I tre domini fungono da piattaforme ideali per studiare i meccanismi cellulari, molecolari e fisiologici che regolano ciascuno degli eventi biologici distintamente. Questo articolo descrive un saggio organotipica fetta ottimizzato per tessuto cerebrale post-natale, in cui le condizioni extracellulare strettamente imitare l&#39;ambiente in vivo per la migrazione dei neuroblasti. Abbiamo dimostrato che la nostra analisi fornisce per il movimento uniforme, orientato, e veloce dei neuroblasti all&#39;interno del RMS.
