normothermic cardiac arrest and cardiopulmonary resuscitation: a mouse model of ischemia-reperfusion injury

Akut njurskada (AKI) är en vanlig, mycket dödlig, komplikation av kritisk sjukdom som har en hög dödlighet 1-4 och som oftast orsakas av hela kroppen hypoperfusion. 5,6 Framgångsrik reproduktion av hela kroppen hypoperfusion i gnagarmodeller har varit fylld med svårigheter. 7-9,9,10 modeller som sysselsätter fokus ischemi upprepade gånger har visat resultat som inte översätter till klinisk miljö, och större djurmodeller som möjliggör hela kroppen hypoperfusion saknar tillgång till hela verktygen av genmanipulation möjligt i musen. 11,12 Men på senare år en musmodell av hjärtstopp och hjärt-lungräddning har framkommit som kan anpassas för att modellera AKI. 13 Denna modell tillförlitligt återger fysiologiska, funktionella, anatomisk och histologisk utfall observerats i kliniska AKI , snabbt repeterbart, och erbjuder alla de stora fördelarna med en mus kirurgiska modellen, bland annat tillgång till genetiska manipulativa tekniker, låg kostnad i förhållande till stora djur, och användarvänlighet. Vår grupp har utvecklat en omfattande erfarenhet av användning av denna modell för att bedöma ett antal organ-specifika resultat i AKI. 14,15
