Photothrombosis es una técnica rápida, mínimamente invasivo para la inducción de infarto pequeño y bien delimitado en áreas de interés de una manera altamente reproducible. Es especialmente adecuado para el estudio de las respuestas celulares y moleculares que subyacen a la plasticidad cerebral en ratones transgénicos.
