Mikrofluidenheder udførelsesformer af Campenot kammer har tiltrukket stor interesse fra neurovidenskab samfund. Disse indbyrdes forbundne co-kultur platforme kan bruges til at undersøge en række spørgsmål, der spænder udviklingsmæssige og funktionelle neurobiologi til infektion og sygdom formering.
