Au moment de proposer l&#39;utilisation d&#39;un médicament, la combinaison de médicaments, ou l&#39;administration de médicaments dans un nouveau système, il faut évaluer la pharmacocinétique du médicament dans le modèle d&#39;étude. Parce que l&#39;utilisation de modèles de souris sont souvent une étape essentielle dans la découverte de médicaments préclinique et le développement de médicaments 1-8, il est nécessaire de concevoir un système pour introduire des médicaments dans des souris dans une manière uniforme, reproductible. Idéalement, le système devrait permettre la collecte des échantillons de sang à intervalles réguliers au cours d&#39;une évolution dans le temps de consigne. La capacité de mesurer les concentrations de médicament par spectrométrie de masse, a permis aux enquêteurs de suivre les changements dans les niveaux plasmatiques du médicament au fil du temps chez les souris individu 1, 9, 10.
