Gânglios da raiz dorsal (DRG) são estruturas que contêm os neurónios sensoriais do sistema nervoso periférico. Quando dissociada, podem ser co-cultivadas com células estaminais do tipo SC, derivadas de tecido adiposo (ASC), proporcionando um valioso modelo para estudar a regeneração de nervos em vitro e mielinização, simulando o ambiente in vivo, no local da lesão.
