the double-h maze: a robust behavioral test for learning and memory in rodents

Ruimtelijke cognitie onderzoek bij knaagdieren kenmerkend gebruik het gebruik doolhof taak, wiens kenmerken verschillen van doolhof naar de volgende. Deze taken verschillen per hun gedragsproblemen flexibiliteit en vereist geheugen duur, het aantal doelpunten en paden, en ook de algehele complexiteit van de taak. Een verwarrende functie in veel van deze taken is het gebrek aan controle over de strategie in dienst van de knaagdieren naar het doel, bijvoorbeeld, allocentric (declaratieve-achtig) of egocentrisch (procedurele) gebaseerde strategieën te bereiken. De dubbel-H doolhof is een nieuwe water-escape geheugen taak die deze kwestie behandelt, doordat de onderzoeker aan direct het type strategie geleerd tijdens de training periode. De dubbel-H doolhof is een transparante inrichting, bestaande uit een centrale steeg met drie armen uitsteekt aan beide zijden samen met een ontsnappingsplatform onder water aan het uiteinde van een van deze armen. Ratten kunnen getraind worden met behulp van een allocentric strategie door afwisselend de stkunst positie in het doolhof in een onvoorspelbare manier (zie protocol 1, §4.7), hen waardoor het nodig om de locatie van het platform op basis van de beschikbare allothetic signalen te leren. Als alternatief, een egocentrische leerstrategie (protocol 2; §4.8) kan worden gebruikt door het vrijgeven van de ratten uit dezelfde positie tijdens elke proef, totdat ze leren de procedurele patroon die nodig is om het doel te bereiken. Deze taak is bewezen te staan ​​voor de vorming van een stabiele geheugen sporen. Het geheugen kan worden onderzocht na de stage in een misleidende sonde proef, waarin de uitgangspositie voor de ratten plaatsvervangers.
