الخلايا المناعية هي مكونات هامة لورم المكروية والتأثير على نمو الورم وتطور في جميع مراحل التسرطن. جدير بالذكر أن الآن ثبت أن التغلغل محصنة في الأورام البشرية يمكن أن ترتبط بالتشخيص والاستجابة للعلاج. تحليل ارتشاح محصنة في ورم المكروية أصبح تحديا رئيسيا لتصنيف المرضى والاستجابة للعلاج.
