Deze techniek is nuttig voor het karakteriseren van de kinetiek van oxidatie en vermindering van organische verbindingen, en het voorspellen van hun gedrag als een actieve verbinding van lichtgevende diodes, zonnecellen, of batterijen. Het belangrijkste voordeel van impedantiespectroscopie is dat het scheiding en individuele analyse van verschillende polaire processen mogelijk maakt, afhankelijk van hun A/C-reacties. Los om te beginnen 0,4 millimol tetrabutylammoniumtertrafluorboraat en vier keer 10 tot de negatieve drie millimol van de organische verbinding van belang in vier milliliter dichloormethaan.
Pipette twee milliliter van deze werkende oplossing in een drie milliliter elektrochemische cel, zoals een glazen V-flesje en sluit de cel met een pakkingdop. Bewaar de resterende werkoplossing voor latere metingen. Monteer vervolgens een polijstdoek op een onbeweeglijke ondersteuning en bevochtig de doek met enkele druppels van 0,05 micrometer aluminiumoxide drijfmest.
Poets een platina schijf met een diameter van één millimeter gedurende 30 seconden met matige druk. Spoel daarna de gepolijste werkende elektrode drie keer af met DCM om restoxidedeeltjes te verwijderen. Steek vervolgens de gepolijste elektrode via de pakkingsdop in de elektrochemische flacon.
Vervolgens verkrijgen van een platina draad tegenelectrode, en ontsteken een butaan fakkel. Anneal de elektrode door het voorzichtig in de vlam te houden, net tot het begint te rood worden. Anneal een zilveren draad referentie elektrode op dezelfde manier, en laat beide elektroden te koelen.
Monteer vervolgens de draadelektroden in de elektrochemische cel via de pakkingsdop, waarbij voorzichtig is om te voorkomen dat de elektroden elkaar raken. Sluit de drie elektroden aan op de potentiostat. Rust de elektrochemische cel gedurende 20 minuten uit met een argongasleiding en bellen argon via de werkoplossing.
Sluit de stroom van argon voordat u met de metingen begint. Open het cyclische voltammetrieprogramma in de potentiostat-software om te beginnen met de initiële karakterisering. Stel het initiële potentieel in op nulvolt, het minimale potentieel op twee volt, het maximale scanpotentieel op twee volt en de scansnelheid op 100 millivolt per seconde.
Verwerf het voltammogram van de werkende oplossing. Let op de potentiële waarden op de maxima van de anodische en de kathodische pieken. Bereken het gemiddelde van de piekpotentieel van de anodische en kathodische pieken om het redoxpotentieel te schatten.
Gebruik vervolgens een spatel om ongeveer 10 milligram ferroceen toe te voegen aan de werkende oplossing in de elektrochemische cel. Bubble argon door de oplossing gedurende vijf minuten om volledige ontbinding van het ferroceen te garanderen. Dan in de cyclische voltammetrie programma, verander de minimale en maximale scanmogelijkheden tot negatieve een volt en een volt respectievelijk.
Verwerf een ander voltammogram dat een kleine omkeerbare ferroceen spoor zal tonen. Gemiddeld de anodische en kathodische piekpotentieel van het ferroceen om het omkeerbare oxidatiepotentieel in de werkoplossing te schatten. Bepaal vervolgens het redoxpotentieel van de organische verbinding ten opzichte van ferroceen.
Ten slotte om de elektrochemische cel schoon te maken, vul deze met DCM en leeg deze vijf keer. Na karakterisering door cyclische voltammetrie, plaats nog eens twee milliliter van de werkende oplossing in een schone drie milliliter elektrochemische cel. Reinig de elektroden zoals eerder beschreven, steek ze in de cel en sluit ze opnieuw aan op de potentiostat.
Ontmanteer de werkoplossing door er 20 minuten argon doorheen te borrelen. Open vervolgens de trap EIS-programma in de potentiostat-software. Stel een potentieel bereik van 0,1 volt aan weerszijden van het redoxpotentieel van de compound van belang in, voor een totaal bereik van 0,2 volt.
Stel de potentiële toename in op 0,01 volt, het frequentiebereik als 10 kilohertz op 100 hertz, het aantal frequenties in de logaritmische schaal op 20, de wachttijd tot vijf seconden, de A/C-spanningslijn tot 10 millivolt en de metingen per frequentie op twee. Voer het experiment uit en wacht tot de set spectra wordt verzameld. Zodra het experiment is voltooid, opent u het EIS-spectrumanalyzerprogramma.
Het aangetoonde programma is universeel voor impedantiespectrumanalyse. Het is echter niet nodig om deze exacte set-up te gebruiken, omdat tal van andere software-opties kunnen worden gebruikt. Importeer een automatisch geregistreerd spectrum dat is gegenereerd door het EIS-experiment.
Bouw vervolgens een eenvoudig gelijkwaardig elektrisch circuit voor het spectrum. Stel de initiële boven- en ondergrenzen in op één keer 10 op de negatieve zeven en één keer 10 op de negatieve acht voor de condensator, 2000 en 100 voor weerstand één, 1000 en 100 voor weerstand twee. Dan, fit het model.
Herhaal de fitting totdat de berekende waarden niet meer veranderen. Als de parametrische en amplitudewaarden met R-kwadraat een keer 10 tot de negatieve twee overschrijden, test u een andere EEG. Voor complexere EECs stelt u de initiële boven- en ondergrenzen voor het Element Warburg in op respectievelijk 50,000 en 10.000.
Als een parameter foutwaarden van meer dan 100% heeft na het aanbrengen, verwijdert u die parameter en probeert u een andere EEG. Zodra het spectrum op een passende EEG is gemonteerd, registreert u de resistentie tegen de overdracht van ladingen en het potentieel waarop het spectrum is geregistreerd. Herhaal dit proces voor alle geregistreerde spectra.
Cyclische voltammetrie van deze organische verbinding toonde een omkeerbaar oxidatieproces op 0,7 volt ten opzichte van ferroceen. Impedantiespectr van de redoxprocessen op het oppervlak van de elektrode werden vervolgens geregistreerd en geanalyseerd. De impedantie spectra werden uitgerust met verschillende gelijkwaardige elektrische circuits om de beste analoog voor het elektrochemische proces te identificeren.
De weerstand van de lastsoverdracht die hier wordt vertegenwoordigd aangezien R2 uit elk gepast spectrum werd gehaald. De inverse ladingsoverdrachtweerstandswaarden werden uitgezet met betrekking tot elektrodepotentieel versus ferroceen, samen met de theoretische afhankelijkheid van de inverse ladingsoverdrachtweerstand op elektrodepotentieel. De standaard elektrochemische tariefconstante werd vervolgens geschat door het evenwichtspotentieel en de tariefconstante te variëren totdat een redelijke pasvorm voor de experimentele gegevens werd bereikt.
De aangetoonde techniek kan samen met andere methoden worden gebruikt om een elektrische organische verbinding te onderzoeken wanneer de redux-eigenschappen van cruciaal belang zijn. Na deze procedure kunnen andere spectrochemische methoden zoals ESR, UV-Vis-NIR worden uitgevoerd om aanvullende vragen te beantwoorden over veranderingen in de molecuulstructuur veroorzaakt door elektrochemische processen. Tijdens het proberen van deze procedure, vergeet niet om rekening te houden met andere processen die zich voordoen in echte systemen die de verkregen resultaten kunnen bemoeilijken.
In het geval van onomkeerbare reacties zoals polymerisatie kan niet worden verwacht dat deze techniek redelijke resultaten oplevert. Na de ontwikkeling maakte deze techniek de weg vrij voor onderzoekers op het gebied van ladingsoverdracht kinetiek in organische elektronica om de redux-prestaties van moleculen en materialen beter te voorspellen. Eenmaal onder de knie, kan deze techniek worden gedaan in twee uur als het goed wordt uitgevoerd.
Elektrochemische impedantie spectroscopie (EIS) van soorten die ondergaan omkeerbare oxidatie of reductie in oplossing werd gebruikt voor de bepaling van de snelheidsconstanten oxidatie of reductie.
