このアプローチは、金属塗料界面での腐食プロセスを明らかにし、高い表面感度を有する界面における機械的および化学的変化に関する洞察を提供する。飛行時間二次イオン質量分析(ToF-SIMS)は、強力な表面ツールです。それは高い横および質量分解能の化学地図を提供し、金属ペンキの界面で有効な特性を可能にする。したがって、新しい開業医が知っておくべき重要なヒントは、サンプルが抽出コーンに触れないようにして、器具への潜在的な損傷を避けることです。この方法の視覚的なデモンストレーションは、ToF-SIMSに新しい研究者にとって重要であり、根本的な解析プロセスに役立ちます。まず、準備した塩分露光および空気露出サンプルを計器負荷ブロックにロードします。負荷ブロックをポンプダウンし、サンプルをメインチャンバーに移し、チャンバーがマイナス8ミリバールに10以下になるまで待ちます。次に、液体金属イオンガン、またはLMIG、アナライザ、光源をパワーアップします。優先金属、ビスマスを使用して LMIG としてプライマリガンを設定し、事前定義されたスペクトロメトリーを使用して LMIG を開始します。次に、ソフトウェアまたは手動コントロールを使用してサンプルステージをFaradayカップに移動します。次に、イオンビームを自動整列します。その後、ファラデーカップでターゲット電流の測定を開始し、[直流]を選択します。[X ブランキング] をクリックし、ターゲット電流が最大化されるまで調整します。その後、Yブランキングでプロセスを繰り返します。終了したら、測定を停止します。次に、メインチャンバー窓を通してビューによって案内され、サンプルの上部が抽出コーンの底よりも低くなるまでサンプルステージをゆっくりと下げる。次に、インターフェイス アセンブリがソフトウェアのマクロ ビューに表示されるように、ステージをコーンの下に配置します。その後、マイナスイオンを検出するように計器をセットします。目的のアナライザー設定をロードし、アナライザーをアクティブにします。次に、マイクロスケール ビューに切り替え、ラスター ビュー フィールドを 300 x 300 マイクロメートルに設定します。次に、信号を 2 次イオン、ラスター サイズを 128 x 128 ピクセルに設定し、ラスター タイプをランダムに設定します。サンプルステージをゆっくりと垂直に動かして、画像がナビゲーター GUI の十字線の中央に配置されるまで ROI のセカンダリイオンイメージを調整します。Z方向を調整している間にジョイスティックハンドルをあまり速く下に動かさないで、それ以外の場合は抽出コーンがステージに当たって破損します。その後、直流洗浄を使用して、金のコーティングと表面汚染物質を除去します。サンプル サーフェスがクリーンになったら、充電補償を有効にし、必要なフラッド ガン設定をロードします。次に、ROI 上のセカンダリイオンイメージを再び焦点を合わせます。フォーカスが設定されたら、二次イオン画像が消えるまで反射器電圧を上げます。その後、電圧を20ボルトずつ下げ、調整を停止します。次に、マススペクトルを撮像窓で開き、金属塗料界面のROIを表示する。クイックスキャンを開始し、スペクトルが表示されたらスキャンを停止します。次に、マススペクトルウィンドウで、クイックスキャンからマススペクトルの既知のピークを選択し、式を入力します。その後、目的のピークをピークリストに追加します。計測ウィンドウを開き、ラスタータイプをランダムに、サイズを 128 x 128 ピクセルに設定し、レートをピクセルあたり 1 ショットに設定します。計器を60回のスキャンを実行するように設定し、測定を開始します。その後、完成したスペクトルを保存します。次に、ROI の場所に名前を付けて保存します。ステージを移動して、分析する新しい ROI を見つけます。次に、LMIGの目的の高解像度SIMSイメージング設定をロードします。サンプルステージをファラデーカップに移動し、イオンビームを再調整して再焦点を合わせてイメージングします。次に、ステージを保存された ROI 位置に戻します。反射器の電圧を調整し、迅速なスペクトルを取得し、質量キャリブレーションを実行します。次に、ラスター タイプをランダムに、サイズを 256 x 256 ピクセルに設定し、レートをピクセルあたり 1 ショットに設定します。スキャン数を 150 に設定し、画像取得を実行します。完了したら、データをエクスポートし、サンプルを取り外し、計器をシャットダウンします。二次イオン質量分析は、空気のみに曝露された試料のアルミニウム塗料界面での酸化アルミニウムおよびオキシ水酸化物のピークが小さく、穏やかな腐食を示した。対照的に、塩水で処理されたサンプルは、はるかに大きなピークと追加のオキシ水酸化物種を有していた。これは、空気のみに曝露された試料よりも厳しい腐食を経験した塩水処理試料と一致した。2D分子画像は、塩水で処理されたサンプルにおいて、酸化アルミニウムおよびオキシ水酸化物種がはるかに普及していたことを確認した。表面損傷や腐食の発生を理解することは非常に困難です。ToF-SIMS は、この手順で示すように、このアプリケーションに最適なツールです。腐食プロセスの研究に加えて、ToF-SIMSは放射線、生物学的、および環境サンプルの材料表面特性に広く使用されています。質量スペクトルの設定と画像取得は、LMIGの種類、LMIGの残存寿命、その他の要因によって異なりますのでご注意ください。この方法では、ToF-SIMSが微小スケールで界面化学を明らかにし、高い横分布と高い質量精度で化学マッピングを提供する上で非常に強力であることを示しています。ToF-SIMS は表面に敏感なテクニックです。常に手袋を着用し、取り扱っているサンプルを保護してください。
