La glande lacrymale (LG) a deux types de cellules exprimant l’actine du muscle lisse α (αSMA): les cellules myoépithéliales (CEM) et les périoctets. Les CEM sont d’origine ectodermique, trouvées dans de nombreux tissus glandulaires, tandis que les périoctets sont des cellules musculaires lisses vasculaires d’origine endodermique. Ce protocole isole les CEM et les périoctets des LGs murins.
