Vi beskriver teknikker til differentiering induktion af to bryst epitellinjer, HC11 og EpH4. Mens begge kræver føtal kalv serum, insulin, og prolaktin til at producere mælkeproteiner, EpH4 celler kan fuldt ud differentiere sig i mammsfærer i tre-dimensionel kultur. Disse komplementære modeller er nyttige til undersøgelser af signaltransduktion af differentiering og neoplasi.
