1980年代以降、シリコーンフィラメントによって誘導される中大脳動脈閉塞(MCAO)モデルは、脳卒中基礎研究1に広く用いられている。他の方法(すなわち、MCA2の1つの分岐の縫合および2光化学的に誘発された焦点梗塞)もまた使用されている。これらのモデルはMCAベースの脳卒中モデルと呼び、脳卒中および潜在的治療の根底にある病態生理学的メカニズムの調査に大きく貢献してきた。これらの実験モデル33、44には制限がありますが、これらの方法は多くの実習5、66を使用してきました。MCA ベースのストローク モデルは、前循環のストロークを表します。しかし、後部循環7の脳卒中を模倣したモデルを調査した報告はほとんどない。

後循環脳卒中に関しては、ポンチン梗塞が最も一般的なサブタイプであり、虚血性脳卒中症例の7%を占める11,12例。11,梗塞地形によれば、ポンチン梗塞は、単離および非単離のポンチン梗塞13に分けられる。単離されたポンチン梗塞は、大動脈疾患(LAD)、バジル動脈枝疾患(BABD)、および小動脈疾患(SAD)の3つのタイプに分類される。ポンチン梗塞のメカニズム、症状、予後の知識は、症例14の臨床調査から導き出された。しかし、ポンチン梗塞を模倣したげっ歯類モデルはあまり調査されていない。
これまでの研究では、ポンを含むびまん性脳幹損傷が7を探求してきた。あるグループは、バジル動脈(BA)15の結紮を介してポンチン梗塞モデルを作成しようとしました。別のグループは、10-0ナイロンモノフィラメント縫合糸を使用して、近位BAの4点を選択的に16に選択的にリゲートした。このモデルはLADを模倣するが、ほとんどのポンチン梗塞はBABDとSADから生じる。さらに、BAの選択的な結紮は複雑な手術であり、高い死亡率を有する。
