Den her beskrevne protokol har til formål at måle den hydrodynamiske diameter af sfæriske nanopartikler, mere specifikt guld nanopartikler, i vandige medier ved hjælp af Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA). Sidstnævnte indebærer sporing af bevægelsen af partikler på grund af Brownian bevægelse og gennemføre Stokes-Einstein ligning for at opnå den hydrodynamiske diameter.
