La administración oral de dsRNA producido por bacterias, un método de administración para la interferencia de ARN (RNAi) que se usa rutinariamente en Caenorhabditis elegans, se aplicó con éxito aquí a mosquitos adultos. Nuestro método permite estudios robustos de genética inversa y estudios de vectores que bloquean la transmisión sin el uso de inyección.
