Notre recherche porte sur les effets à long terme d’une exposition répétée à des explosions de faible intensité chez la souris. Notre objectif est de déterminer les effets à long terme de cette exposition pendant l’entraînement militaire. Pour la recherche sur les animaux, les effets de l’explosion de faible intensité sont subtils, et les équipes de recherche utilisent souvent des techniques comme la microscopie électronique pour détecter les différences entre les souris explosives et les souris factices. Nos travaux suggèrent qu’une répétition accrue des explosions rend ces différences plus faciles à détecter à l’aide de techniques de microscopie plus accessibles.
Il existe actuellement très peu de littérature sur les expositions aux explosions de faible intensité, également appelées explosions de faible intensité, et sur les modèles qui utilisent ces expositions sur plusieurs jours. Nous avons conçu notre protocole pour inclure plusieurs explosions de faible intensité sur plusieurs jours afin de combler ces lacunes.
