Vår forskning fokuserar på de långsiktiga effekterna av upprepad exponering för lågnivåsprängningar hos möss. Vårt mål är att bestämma de långsiktiga effekterna av denna exponering under militär träning För djurförsök är effekterna av lågnivåsprängning subtila, och forskargrupper kommer ofta att använda tekniker som elektronmikroskopi för att upptäcka skillnader mellan blast- och skenmöss. Vårt arbete tyder på att ökad sprängupprepning gör dessa skillnader lättare att upptäcka med hjälp av mer tillgängliga mikroskopitekniker.
Det finns för närvarande mycket begränsad litteratur om både lågintensiva explosioner, som också kallas lågintensiva explosioner, och de modeller som använder dessa exponeringar under flera dagar. Vi har utformat vårt protokoll så att det inkluderar flera lågnivåsprängningar under många dagar för att åtgärda dessa luckor.
