François Osiurak is a Full Professor in psychology. He is at the head of the Cognition, Tools, Systems team of the Cognitive Mechanism Study Research Group, University of Lyon, France. This team is specialized in the investigation of the neurocognitive bases of human tool use. He was recently appointed as a Junior Member of the “Institut Universitaire de France”, namely, a prestigious award for French associate and full professors. He is also the laureate of the 2017 Grand Prize of the Best Researcher of the University of Lyon. He has published more than 100 articles in the field of tool use and cumulative technological culture (e.g., American Psychologist, Psychological Review, Neuroscience & BioBehavioral Reviews, Brain, Cortex, Journal of Experimental Psychology: General, Cognition, Neuropsychologia, Neuropsychology Review, Scientific Reports).
