India Leclercq is an associate professor at Université de Paris and member of the laboratory ERI-CIBU (Environment and Infectious Risks - Biological Emergency Response Unit) at the Pasteur Institute, which was created in 2002 to respond to "specialized biological emergencies" (bioterrorism, epidemics, accidents or attacks using biological weapons). She is particularly interested in the resistance mechanisms of viruses with epidemic potential in the external environment, and she also works on Orthopoxviruses, especially Monkeypoxvirus.
