Bill Luu is a practicing orthodontist in Dallas, TX. He received his certificate in orthodontics and Master of Dental Science degrees from the University of Connecticut Health Center and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Luu received his Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Luu developed his interest in tooth movement and biomechanics in orthodontics during his time at the University of Connecticut Health Center. His master's thesis consisted of a finite element analysis (FEA) study on the centers of resistance of individual teeth and tooth groups in the maxillary arch, where he also collaborated to develop a custom protocol and algorithm to calculate these centers of resistance.
