Yong He obtained obtained his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering of Zhejiang University. He is currently a full professor at Zhejiang University, School of Mechanical Engineering. In 2016, he was honored the excellent young scholar of China by NSFC for his work in bioprinting(Ten persons per year in Mechanical Engineering). Also he is the deputy director of State Key Lab of Fluid Power & Mechatronic Systems.

Dr. Yong He's group interests focus on how to fabricate organs on chips with 3D printing (combining 3D bioprinting & microfluidic chips). His group has proposed serial novel 3D printing methods to solve the challenge in bionic tissues and organs. Also bioinks such as GelMA and new type of 3D bioprinters are developed and have been commercialized. Single cell manipulation can be achieved by their novel 3D bioprinter. Now he has published above 70 journal papers and authorized more than 50 patients, with the H index of 25.
