I am a neuroscientist interested in neural plasticity and behavior. My research has focused on how neurons are altered, primarily in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex of rodents, after exposure to various agents including gonadal steroids and bisphenol-A. Using both neuroanatomical methods and behavioral assessments, the goal is to understand which brain regions are critical for cognitive function and the mechanisms which underlie alterations in memory and other behaviors.
