Nikhil Srivastava obtained his Master’s degree in organic chemistry in 2005 from Gorakhpur University, India. After qualifying for CSIR-JRF (NET), He joined the research group of Dr. B. V. Subba Reddy at Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad in January 2009. His research was focused on Bridged Benzopyran, sugar annulated furopyran heterocycles via Prins bicyclization reaction, and total synthesis of malyngolide and its C (5) epimer, which resulted in 6 publications in reputed international journals and submission of his Ph.D. thesis to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, India.
After getting his Ph.D. degree in 2017, he joined the research group of Professor H.-J. Ha at the bioorganic chemistry division, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies-Global campus, as a Postdoctoral researcher in February 2018 and is currently working on the application of chiral aziridines in natural product synthesis and synthesis of biologically important heterocycles and published 4 papers in leading journals.
