Dr. Clark received his B.A. in Chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2012 and his Ph.D. from Iowa State University in 2018. He was awarded the 2018 Beckman Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship to study RNA modifications in the central nervous system under the direction of Prof. Jonathan Sweedler at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Clark is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Tufts University where he and his research group aim to improve the characterization of RNA modifications in the central nervous system and single cells by developing new materials and methods that facilitate sample preparation, separations, and mass spectrometry measurements of modified RNA.
