Ruchi Komal is a post-doctoral fellow of Section on Light and Circadian Rhythm Lab (SLCR; Samer Hattar's Lab) at National Institute of Mental Health, Bethesda, MD, USA, since July 2018.
She obtained her Ph.D. in 2018 from Lucknow University, India, with a thesis on “Behavioral study of life history stages in song birds”. Her PhD work was centered on understanding the mechanisms that regulate spring and autumn migrations in Palaearctic Indian migrant, redheaded bunting (Emberiza bruniceps), at both, behavioral and molecular levels.
