For my undergraduate degree I focused on molecular and cellular biology. I worked on my undergraduate thesis at the Pacific Biological Station where I tested a novel antiviral drug on Piscine Reovirus (PRV).
After finishing my undergraduate degree I realized my love for research and pursued my masters degree where I studied Grapevine Rupestris Stem Pitting-associated Virus (GRSPaV) and created the first cDNA clone of a strain suspected to be involved in multiple grapevine diseases.
I now work in the Zhang lab, which focuses primarily on discovery and validation of novel E3 ligase inhibitors.
