Here, we present a protocol to measure the gap contact force and gap balance in mobile-bearing unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA). Along with the clinical and radiographic data, we hope to determine the normal range of the contact force and set up the threshold of the gap balance.
Augmented reality technology was applied to core decompression for osteonecrosis of the femoral head to realize real-time visualization of this surgical procedure. This method can effectively improve the safety and precision of core decompression.
Various animal models of pulmonary fibrosis have been established using bleomycin to clarify the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis and find new drug targets. However, most pulmonary fibrosis models targeting lung tissue have uneven drug administration. Here, we propose a model of uniform pulmonary fibrosis induced by nasal bleomycin nebulization.
Here, we used a patient-specific finite element model to analyze the mechanical changes in adjacent segments after spinal fusion surgery. The results showed that fusion surgery reduced the overall motion of the lumbar spine but increased the load on and stress in adjacent segments, especially the proximal segment.
