Department of Anesthesia
My main research area is pharmacogenetics in anaesthesia. Together with PD Dr. Bandschapp I am in charge of the Swiss Malignant Hyperthermia (MH) diagnostic centre in Basel, Switzerland. I am a member of the board of the European Malignant Hyperthermia Group (www.emhg.org).
Clinically I am the deputy head of anaesthesia at the University hospital Basel. Here I am in charge of the residency program. I was the lead of Obstetric Anaesthesia until December 2020. Immediate past-president of the Swiss Association of Obstetric Anaesthesia (SAOA). Committee member of the Obstetric Anaesthetist’s Association (OAA) from 2014 to 2019.
