Maria Antònia Forteza received her Bachelor degree (BD) in Biochemistry (2015) at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), her Master’s Degree in Teaching Training (2016) and her Master of Science (MSc) in Microbiology (2017) at the UIB. From October 2016 to February 2017, she worked on the Project “Nanostructured flavonoid coated implants for soft tissue integration” at the Research Institute on Health Sciences (IUNICS-UIB), within the Cell Therapy and Tissue Engineering (TERCIT) group.
In March 2017, she started her PhD at the group Cell Therapy and Tissue Engineering at IUNICS-UIB through the project “Extracellular vesicles for cell-free regenerative medicine and its application for the treatment of Osteoarthritis”, which is financed by the sustainable tourism tax of the Balearic Islands through the PhD grant "PROGRAMA JUNIOR del proyecto TALENT PLUS, construyendo SALUD, generando VALOR (JUNIOR01/18)".
