<em&gt; תסיסנית</emלב&gt; התפתחה לאחרונה לבדיקת המנגנונים הגנטיים, הסלולר, ו המולקולריים שבבסיס לתפקד לבבות myogenic כמערכת מודל טוב. צעד מרכזי לבחינת תפקוד הלב של הזבוב הוא למצוא דרך לגשת לב באופן שמשמר פונקציה myogenic שלה תוך מתן איבר הלב הפועם כדי לצפות והקליט. שתי שיטות שונות לצפייה והקלטה הלב הפועם של הזחל וגם למבוגרים<em&gt; תסיסנית</em&gt; מתוארים כאן. הכנה למחצה שלם שלנו באמצעות זבובים בוגרים מאפשר ראיה ברורה של הלב בטן ללא הפרעה מן לציפורן פיגמנט ואת המכסה גופים שומן. כדי להקליט הזחל פעימות הלב יש צורך לשתק את הזחל, אשר ממזער קיר תנועות הגוף ובכך להפחית את התנועות לב כי אינם קשורים התכווצויות שריר הלב. המתודולוגיות שלנו לייצר מבוגר יציבה ההכנות לב הזחל כי אפשר לנצח במשך שעות בשיעורים של 1-3 הרץ.
