El método de Hi-C permite la identificación imparcial de todo el genoma de las interacciones entre la cromatina (1). Hi-C parejas ligadura de proximidad y de secuenciación masiva en paralelo. Los datos resultantes se pueden utilizar para estudiar arquitectura genómica a diferentes escalas, los resultados iniciales identificaron características tales como los territorios de cromosomas, la segregación de la cromatina abierta y cerrada, y la estructura de la cromatina en la escala de megabase.
