Deel 1: Doel: Om aan te tonen een capsulorhexis techniek met behulp van voornamelijk schuifkrachten met een cystotome op een virtual reality simulator en op een menselijk oog. Deel 2: Methode: Stappen: <ol><li> Onze techniek houdt in het creëren van de eerste anterieure kapsel scheuren met een cystotome om een ​​flap te verhogen. </li><li> De klep is dan links ontvouwd op de lens oppervlak. </li><li> De cystotome tip is horizontaal gekanteld en is bezig op de klep in de buurt van de voorste rand van de scheur. </li><li> De cystotome wordt verplaatst in een circulaire manier om de vector krachten direct. </li><li> De losse flap wordt constant geveegd naar het midden, zodat het niet verduisteren het zicht op het scheuren rand. </li><li> Opnieuw inschakelen van de naald aan de rand van scheuren vaak tot een voldoende groot continue kromlijnig capsulorhexis te creëren. </li></ol> Deel 3: Resultaten: Onze techniek heeft het voordeel dat het verminderen van het hoornvlies wond vervorming en de daarop volgende voorste oogkamer instorten. De capsulorhexis flap is afgestapt van de scheur leading edge waardoor betere visualisatie van de richting van de scheur. Deze techniek biedt superieure beheersing van de capsulorhexis doordat de chirurg om de richting van de scheur te wijzigen om de gewenste capsulorhexis grootte te verkrijgen.

De EYESI Chirurgische Simulator is een realistische training platform voor chirurgen om complexe capsulorhexis technieken oefenen. Capsulorhexis is de belangrijkste en meest complexe deel van phacoemulsificatie procedure. Een succesvolle staaroperatie hangt meestal af van een goede capsuporhexis. De afschuifkrachten techniek is een geschikt alternatief en in sommige gevallen een veel betere techniek in het bereiken van de gewenste capsulorhexis.
