bimolecular fluorescence complementation (bifc) assay for protein-protein interaction in onion cells using the helios gene gun

<p class="jove_content">Onderzoek naar gen-functie in diverse organismen is gebaseerd op kennis van hoe de genproducten met elkaar in hun normale cellulaire omgeving. De Bimoleculaire Fluorescentie Complementatie (BiFC) Assay<sup&gt; 1</sup&gt; Stelt onderzoekers in staat te visualiseren eiwit-eiwit interacties in levende cellen en is uitgegroeid tot een onmisbaar onderzoeksinstrument. Deze test is gebaseerd op de vergemakkelijkt associatie van twee fragmenten van een fluorescerend eiwit (GFP), die elk gefuseerd aan een potentiële interagerende proteïne partner. De interactie van de twee partners eiwit zou de associatie van de N-terminale en C-terminale fragment van GFP, wat leidt tot fluorescentie.
