<p class="jove_content">Utredning av geners funktion i olika organismer är beroende av kunskap om hur de genprodukter interagerar med varandra i sina normala cellulära miljö. Den Bimolecular Fluorescens komplettering (BiFC) analys<sup&gt; 1</sup&gt; Möjligt för forskare att visualisera protein-protein interaktioner i levande celler och har blivit ett viktigt forskningsverktyg. Denna analys bygger på den förenklade sammanslutning av två fragment av ett fluorescerande protein (GFP) som var och smält till en potentiell samverkande protein partner.
