באמצעות ערכת חומצה ביכונית, מדדו את ריכוז החלבון של תאי MCF-7 לפי הוראות היצרן. הוסף את דגימות התאים ליזד לקבוצות המתאימות בלוח של 96 בארות. לאחר מכן, להוסיף את פתרון העבודה לדגור ב 37 מעלות צלזיוס במשך חמש דקות.לבסוף, מדוד את ערכי הצפיפות האופטית ב- 636 ננומטר בקורא מיקרו-לוחות פונקציונלי. סלידרוסייד הגביל את חיוניות האנזים של נתרן אשלגן ATPases וסידן ATPase, מה שמצביע על תפקידו הפוטנציאלי בקידום תפקוד לקוי של המיטוכונדריה.
