<p class="jove_content"> O sentido do paladar é fundamental para a vida humana. Ele informa o corpo sobre a qualidade dos alimentos que serão ingeridos potencialmente e estimula os processos metabólicos que preparam o tubo digestivo para a digestão. Constante progresso está sendo feito para a compreensão dos eventos bioquímicos e moleculares iniciais subjacentes transdução gosto (para uma revisão, Breslin e Spector, 2008 <sup>1).</sup> No entanto, o progresso até agora resultou em grande parte a partir de modelos animais.
