גזע עובריים (ES) התאים הם תאים שמקורם pluripotent מסת התאים הפנימית של הבלסטוציסט בשלב עוברי מוקדם יונקים 1. שלב מכריע התמיינות של תאים עובריים היא היווצרות של גופים embryoid (EBS) אגרגטים 2, 3. היווצרות EB מבוסס על צבירת ספונטנית כאשר תאים עובריים הם בתרבית צלחות חסיד לא. תלת ממדי משחזר EB היבטים רבים של יונקים embryogenesis מוקדם להתמיין שלוש שכבות נבט: האאקטודרם והמזודרם ואת האנדודרם 4.
