Fiberoptisk intubation hos pediatriska patienter med svåra luftvägen kan vara en utmanande uppgift 1,2 och förekomsten av kraniofaciala dysmorphisms innebär ytterligare utmaningar för endotrakeal intubering 3. Fiberoptisk intubation hos pediatriska patienter krävs ofta särskilt i svåra luftvägarna hos syndromatisk patienter dvs Pierre Robin syndrom. Små bebisar Tunna ut mycket snabbt om ventilationen avbryts i huvudsak till hög ämnesomsättning. Vi beskriver riktlinjer för att utföra en säker fiberoptisk intubation med bibehållen spontanandning under hela förfarandet. Åtgärder som kräver användning av propofol pump, fentanyl, glykopyrrolat, rött gummi kateter, metall insuflation krok, Afrin, smörjmedel och lidokain spraya visas.
