MRSA ist eine weltweite Bedrohung für die öffentliche Gesundheit und MRSA Haut-und Weichteil-Infektionen mittlerweile mehr als die Hälfte aller Weichteil-Infektionen in den Vereinigten Staaten. Unter Weichteilinfektionen, haben Myositis, pyomyositis und nekrotisierende Fasziitis zunehmend in Verbindung mit MRSA aus der Gemeinde berichtet.
