<p class="jove_content"> In deze eenvoudige procedure, zijn blaastumoren gevestigd in vrouwelijke C57 muizen door het gebruik van de catheterisatie, lokale cauterisatie, en de daaropvolgende celadhesie. Na hun blazen zijn transurethrally gecatheteriseerd en afgevoerd, zijn dieren weer gecatheteriseerd het inbrengen van een platina draad in blazen toestaan ​​zonder beschadiging van de plasbuis of blaas. De catheters zijn gemaakt van Teflon om te dienen als een isolator voor de draad, die elektrische stroom voert in de blaas om een ​​brandwond creëren. Een elektrocauterisatie eenheid wordt gebruikt voor het afleveren 2,5 W aan het blootgestelde uiteinde van de draad, wegbranden extracellulaire lagen en het verstrekken van bevestiging sites voor carcinoom cellen die in suspensie geleverd aan de blaas door middel van een latere catheterisatie.
