In der Global Polio Eradication Initiative spielt Labordiagnostik eine entscheidende Rolle durch die Isolierung und Identifizierung von PV aus der Stuhlproben von akuten schlaffen Lähmungen (AFP) Fällen. In der World Health Organization (WHO) Global Polio Laboratory Network, PV Isolierung und Identifizierung werden derzeit durch Zellkultur-System und real-time RT-PCR bzw. durchgeführt. In der post-Eradikation Ära der PV, wäre eine einfache und schnelle Identifizierung Verfahren hilfreich sein für die schnelle Bestätigung der Polio-Fälle auf der nationalen Laboratorien. In der vorliegenden Studie zeigen wir das Verfahren von neuen PA-Assay für PV Identifikation entwickelt. Das PA-Assay nutzt Zusammenspiel von PV-Rezeptor-(PVR)-Molekül und Virion, dass bestimmte und einheitliche Affinität zu allen Serotypen von PV ist. Das Verfahren ist einfach (eine Schritt-Verfahren in Reaktion Platten) und schnelle (Ergebnisse können innerhalb von 2 h Reaktionszeit erhalten werden), und das Ergebnis wird visuell beobachtet (Beobachtung der Agglutination von Gelatine-Partikel).
