I det globala initiativet att utrota polio, spelar laboratoriediagnos en avgörande roll genom att isolera och identifiera PV från avföringsprov av akut slapp förlamning (AFP) fall. I Världshälsoorganisationen (WHO) Global Polio Laboratory Network, PV isolering och identifiering för närvarande genomförs med hjälp av systemet cellkultur och i realtid RT-PCR, respektive. I den post-utrotning era av PV skulle enkel och snabb identifiering förfaranden vara till hjälp för en snabb bekräftelse på poliofall på nationella laboratorier. I den aktuella studien visar vi förfarandet av nya PA-analysen utvecklats för PV identifiering. Detta PA-analysen utnyttjas samspelet mellan PV-receptorn (PVR) molekyl och virionens som är specifik och enhetlig affinitet till alla serotyper av PV. Proceduren är enkel (ett steg förfarande reaktion plattor) och snabb (resultat kan uppnås inom 2 tim reaktion), och resultatet är visuellt observerade (observation av agglutination av gelatin partiklar).
