Neonatale hypoxie ischemie wordt gekenmerkt door onvoldoende bloeddoorstroming van een weefsel of een systemische gebrek aan zuurstof. Deze voorwaarde wordt gedacht dat oorzaak / goed gedocumenteerd neonatale neurologische aandoeningen, waaronder bijzondere waardeverminderingen 1-3 verergeren. Verminderde productie van adenosine trifosfaat optreedt als gevolg van een gebrek aan oxidatieve fosforylering. Ter compensatie van deze energie verstoken status moleculen die bestaan ​​uit hoge energie-fosfaat obligaties zijn afgebroken 2.
